Cotton is 100% natural, without chemical adds, and entirely renewable. It’s the most suitable and healthy material for linen products since it touches the body leaving a cool and soft sense. It does not provoke allergies and it is durable. This last one is defined by the numbers of threads in its weaving.

Mixed fabrics are those which are made by a mixture of threads, like cotton and polyester. The fabric with larger proportion in polyester look nicer since they give the impression of non-crease but they are also warmer due to synthetic fibre and therefore less useful during summer time.

This word reefs to fabrics with special and dense weaving. These are used for sheets and bedclothes as well as general clothes. It can be either 100% cotton or a mixture of cotton and polyester. The word “percale” refers to the way the fabric is weaved, not the materials used. It can be white, dyed or printed. The percale sheets are made by the best worsted threads (penie) and the number of threads included is over 180 TC.

Satin like percale refers to the way the fabric is weaved and the thread thickness. The special weaving gives satin sheets their soft touch. Just like percale, satin does not correspond to the materials used. It is shining and sleek and the threads used are only worsted or carded.

It is the term used to describe the threads made by long-thread cotton. This results to durable and shiny threads so that they do not make knots during the use.

The fabric which is pre-washed before its weaving and last finishing is called sanforized. This leads to the least shrinkage during the use of the product. That’s why sanforized products are more expensive.

However, these vary largely, so the purchaser should know mattress dimensions before choosing sheets and pillowcases. Also, they should bear in mind a slight shrinkage if the products are not sanforized.

Fabrics concerning linen are differentiated in quality by the number of threads, but towels, bathrobes and mats are differentiated by their weight. The heavier they weigh per square meter, the greater their endurance and absorbency are.

This term corresponds to those towels which include their logo in the weaving in a different knitting but in the same colour as the towel. It requires a large amount of purchase order and it needs long time to be manufactured and delivered.

It can be knitted in almost all kinds of linen for practical or aesthetic reasons. Crist uses durable and indelible threads which do not run in washing nor fade. Any design in any size can be knitted.

It is a decorative embroidery chevron made of indelible threads which can be knitted on the pillowcase or the top sheet, the duvet or towels. It can be combined with knitted logo or different colour threads through a wide colour pallet.

It is a special way of sewing made by a specific machine. During sewing, small tucks are made which create an impressive spectrum. It can be applied to pillowcases, top sheets, duvets, even tablecloths.

Logo on lifelines is made of synthetic material so that it does not run nor shrinks after wash. It can be applied to pillowcases, top sheets, duvets and towels. It is a special way of sewing which requires a large number of purchase order since products with logo in lifelines are especially manufactured for each customer.

The term describes the sewing in pillowcases which includes an additional flap on three or four sides of the pillowcase. The usable space for the pillow itself remains the same and the spectrum is about to give a decorative touch.

It is a technique used to create small decorative holes on the fabric. It is a classic but also timeless way to decorate linen applied usually to thin fabrics not to towel-like ones.
